Growing in my family, there was never a tradition of Christmas cookie baking. My parents each run their own small business, and to this day are super busy people. Now, I love to bake, so for my little family, I am starting the tradition. I am giving most of our baking away to the neighbors, for me I guess it’s in the fun of making, not so much in the eating! I have never made cut out sugar cookies before this year, and I am finding it tricksy! I learn so much of what to, and not to do in each batch! I aspire to thick, soft sugar cookies with hard royal icing decoration. For now, cookies with glaze and sprinkles suits me just fine!
These cookies look lovely. I like making the big sugar cookies, but I feel like they involve more planning than I usually prefer. I like drop cookies, because they are just make and bake and eat.
