Spinning for Socks.

60z Superwash Merino.
To be a 2 ply fingering/sport yarn for the baddest. ass. socks. evah.
Dye job inspired by the handspun socks on the cover of the Spring 07 SpinOff.

It will be awhile before I get the spinning finished. There seems to be no time to sit and work on my own projects right now. Summer = not wanting to be indoors. Um, that and the 5 differant socks I have on the needles right now, only two of which will complete pairs…….

You are suppose to make 2 socks that match each other? (Only kidding.) I have 3 or 4 socks “started” but I’m just not in the sock mood. I’m almost done with a baby blanket then I can get back to the socks.
I love those colors! Take the wheel outside! Spin in public.

Hi, this is not so much a comment but more of a question. I was wondering if you’d share your source for raw yarn with me, I’m a textile artist and am looking for a wholesale yarn distributor for some work I’m planning. Any insight would be really appreciated!

Julia, I love those singles, they are going to be one smoking hot 2 ply, and some sweet socks!

And I don’t know why I haven’t discovered your blog until now, cause I’ve always loved your yarn! It’s always great to run across other indie dyers, and see how they work and what stuff they like to knit too. 🙂

Looking forward to seeing this fiber turned into socks!
