I did not mean to leave for a month! I don’t know where the summer went. We’ve just been spending it hanging out. I had to drop in today to tell you that my shop is, sadly, for the moment, broken. I, or rather, the best IT guy in the whole world, who, despite being a super busy with work & being an awesome Dad, is trying to figure out what went wrong. Please hang in there, one way or the other I will have a shop up again!! (Soon!)

My Baby Girl turned one year old today! So surreal, this year went by so quickly. She’s an amazing person, so full of light. I love her beyond infinity, and cannot imagine our little family without her.

So excited for summer! Or really, so excited for things to be green! I love this time of year, it’s notoriously slow for those of us in the yarn business, but what a perfect time to be outside, digging and planting and prettying things up! These poppies belong to a neighbor, but I’ve just planted some of my own.
Last year, being pregnant, and then having a new born, I pretty much took a pass on all things, especially the yard. I’m looking forward to making up for it this year!!

I’ve been stealing moments to knit on this wee little Tulip Cardi for R. I am definitely ready to be done, and happy to say I’m on the last sleeve, and am weaving the (many, many) ends in as I go.
I am using my own Vesper Worsted for this, and am very happy at the very wooly hand of the yarn. I am knitting a larger sizing, it’s a top down raglan, so I just knit more increases until it looked very big, and fudged numbers from there. As you do.
I’m quite sure it will fit her for at least two fall/winters. Also, baby girl knitting? SO MUCH FUN.

A Wee Liesl for my wee babe, who is getting SO big. Almost 11 months old! I knit it in yarn stashed long, long, ago. Rowan’s sadly discontinued cash cotton 4ply. This is a great little pattern. It took me about 6 weeks to knit, but only because knitting time is scarce. The body was knit in about a week, but it took me forever to get to the sleeves!
