‘Leave Me Alone!’ Giveaway!

LeaveMeAlone
**Comments are closed!! Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments! I’ll be naming the winner shortly!**

I have been looking forward to the release of this book since I first heard about it! Being a Knitter in a Knitter’s world, I have been acquainted with Vera Brosgal (find her on IG here!) and her work and knitting for years (remember when Flickr was the place to be?? Yeah. ). Her book, about a Granny Knitter just wanting to be left alone to her knitting, was released this past Tuesday, and it is gorgeous! The Illustrations! The Color Palette! The Story! There is nothing not to love.
I thought I’d share my excitement with all of you, and GIVE AWAY a copy! The winner will also receive a Knitterly Things ‘I Heart Yarn’ bag, AND a special edition Mitten Yarn Kit, with one copy each of our Chevron Love Mittens, and Super Simple Stripey Mittens patterns.

To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite place/most ideal setting to work on your knitting. One comment per person, please. Winner will be drawn by random number generator sometime this Sunday. Thanks for playing, and good luck!

My LYS was destroyed in a fire last December. Now my favorite place to knit is in whoever’s home happens to be available in a given week. Sometimes it’s not about the place or comfort (we brought our own chairs last week), it’s about who you are with!
Someday, we’ll find a new ‘clubhouse’ we hope. Till then, Thankyou Facebook for making things easier!

  4. Kjerstiye says:

Favourite “place” to knit these days are the stolen moments of quiet in the day: while the kettle heats up for the morning cuppa, on the bus after a long day of work, in between practice questions and flashcards (a line or two is a WAY better reward than chocolate or potato chips when studying!), the brief reprieve when the baby falls asleep before the evening clean-up and prep for tomorrow happens, and finally, when the day is done before my brain konks out for the night.

  5. Grace Fredeick says:

On a deck overlooking the beach. So nice! Alas, I live in Texas, so it doesn’t happen often!

I can’t say I have one favorite place to knit. I knit at home in my living room in my big squishy chair, to work and everywhere I go. You just never know where you’ll be waiting to knit a few rows. I’ve even knitted on a totally stopped freeway when there was an accident and I sat there for thirty minutes before the traffic was able to move.

Maybe this sounds a little odd, but my favorite place to knit is at the dining room table. The chairs are comfortable-I have a cushion; i can spread everything out in front of me, have my iPad for music and other distractions and a view of the woods at the back of the house.

  13. Rachel says:

My favorite place to knit is out on the deck in cool (end of spring, beginning of fall) weather, so the bugs aren’t bad and whatever my project is can work as a bit of a blanket.
