Knitting Meh

I want to knit, really, I do, but I’ve been so Meh about it lately. I haven’t even finished up my little Koigu BSJ! And it only needs buttons! I stalled completely on the second, in favor of a new sweater, that hopefully will be ready for MDS&W.
I’ve had me eye on this pattern book for awhile, and ordered it last week. Just the thing to combat the knitting meh’s.

I had my eye on the Soft Linen Hoodie, and the Feather and Fan Cardi.
Guess which won out?

Yup. In my new fav yarn ever, more Rowan Felted Tweed. This color has been sitting in my stash for years. Nice to finally be using it! This sweater’s got an interesting construction too, bonus for me! The yoke part and sleeves are knit side to side, and then the body is picked up and worked down. I like!

I figure, if I can knit a man size sweater for Brandt in a month, I can certainly knit a Julia Size sweater in the same. Maryland, here I come!

Aww, even my role model knitters get the knitting blahs. Although that sweater looks like the best cure, and the colour is gorge.

I have never commented before, but have lots of Vesper sock yarn in my stash! Anyway, I just finished the feather and fan cardi last week. I used up stash yarn for it- the Debbei Bliss merino dk. I found the instructions to be very clear and error free. I love the finished result. I hope you enjoy making it and it gets you out of your knitting doldrums.

I’ve been coveting that pattern booklet as well. Can’t wait to see how your sweater turns out, the design is gorgeous and I love the color you’ve chosen!

I love that sweater! I bought the booklet just for that pattern. I’m spinning the yarn for it though, so who knows when I’ll actually get to the knitting.

I’ve been tempted by one of the patterns in that booklet for a while (I believe I can now buy it directly from KGilbert). I have the knitting blahs, but have a few too many projects to give in to starting something completely new.

That’s such a pretty sweater! I could only wish that my slow fingers would be able to knit a sweater in a month! 🙂

  10. I love that cardigan and am waiting to finish my fiddleheads before I can start it! On my 2nd lining now!

    We are knitting twins! 🙂

  11. Hee. I totally just bought that booklet too! Can’t wait to see your cardi – I’m quite sure it will banish that nasty ‘meh’ right back to its dark corner 😉 Enjoy!
