Okay, now is it more obvious? (Hint: Not a tea kettle cozy!) I’m really having so much fun with this! I’m up to the decreases now, hopefully they work how I want them to. After I finish this one, which is knit with my handspun, I’m going to knit another out of a commercial yarn, and then I’ll post the pattern so you can all have just as much fun with the Chevron Love as I did!
People, I’ve reached another bloggy landmark! This post you’re reading right now is my 200th (!) post!! To celebrate this occasion, leave me a comment, and with the help of a random number generator, and on Friday, I’ll pick a lucky knitter to receive a great fibery gift! Thank you all for reading, I love being here!
I don’t know what it is, but it certainly is gorgeous!
i love how the tea kettle is knitting up.
Great looking chevron pattern. Is it a hat?
Even though I’m not sure what it is, I’m anxious to see the pattern. I have lots of leftover Baby Ull looking for a good use…
Congrats on the 200th post! Is that a hat? I love the zig zagging colors, it’s great! Can’t wait to see what it looks like all finished up.
That Hat? is gorgeous! I have a bunch of small balls of handspun that just might work for something like that! Happy 200th post!
I love the hat, that’s a great idea to use up some precious handspun. Congrats on your 200th post.
Oh! Can’t wait for that pattern. Happy 200th post!
Congrats on your milestone. Love your Aftur sweater!
Happy 200th! Love the hat!!
I LOVE the colorblend in this piece! I think its
a hat! I also love homespun–I wish I knew how to
spin… although I would probably get into more
trouble wiht a new fibery hobby:)

Congratulations on the 200th post. What is that pretty project? My guess is a hat?
I think it is a hat, and a gorgeous one at that! Congrats on reaching 200 posts, that is quite an accomplishment!

A French Press cozy? Congrats on your 200th post. I love to “lurk” here.
That is so very pretty! It’s amazing how creative you are – I can’t fathom ever being able to spin yarn, configure a pattern, and then make it all come together like that.
Happy 200!!!
WOW! 200th entry – what a great thing. Your colorwork is beautiful!!! Great Job on both accounts.
happy 200th post, Julia! can’t wait to see the final chevron-glory.

Congrats on your 200th entry! I will thrilled when I got to 100 and now can look forward to 200! The chevron work is inspiring!
Congrat’s on 200th entry. Such beautiful hand spun, I first thought baby sweater, but I couldn’t bear to imagine baby spit up and drool on the beautiful yarn so my guess is: a hat.
I love the mixture of colors. You’ve inspired me to use up some of those bits and pieces I have around, too!
Happy 200th!
My guess is a hat. See you tomorrow for sleeve advice!
Ooooo…ditto on what everyone is commenting. Love the colors.
Happy 200th! I think I’ll join the rest of the flock with “Hat”
IS it a hat? I had thought from the initial photo that it might be a mitten cuff, but not if you are decreasing…but it isn’t an adult hat, I don’t think. It looks too small and you took care to make it less scratchy on the inside, so I think baby hat.
Gorgeous , Gorgeous, Gorgeous!!! You have quite an eye for colour and what talent your hands have! Wow that sounded like a creepy children’s story book!! Oh well I meant it in a great hey you do awesome stuff with yarn and sticks kind of way! Congrats on your 200th, I’m looking forward to reading the next 200.
lovely!
makes me want to spin….
makes me want to cast on….but I’m sworn off new stuff until I finish SEVERAL ufo’s….

I just started reading recently and am absolutely enchanted with your knitting-from-handspun project (hat?). The colors are gorgeous! (May I inquire what roving you spun that delicious shade of green from?)
Congrats on the 200th post! Looking forward to many more.
Congratulations on #200!
Love your yarn, btw! I made Jaywalkers with all of the colorways I bought of yours…it’s a great pairing of pattern and yarn!
Say free fibery goodness and we all come out of the woodwork to comment. 🙂 I do love the colors on it though.
Don’t always have time to comment but I love reading your posts and I always check your blog for updates.

Yet another instance of “colors I would never in a million years think to put together but they look fantastic.”
Congrats on the milestone!
Oooh, I’m guessing a super-cozy zigzag hat a la Charlie Brown?
I can’t believe you spun up all that yarn! It’s amazing. If you read this, e-mail me, I want to buy some rovings. Otherwise I’ll have to make Sara buy it for me 🙂
Lovely color-combos! Congrats on your 200th post.
I know I lurk, but I always look forward to reading about what you’re up to these days. Your handspun is beautiful, and I’d love mine to someday turn out like yours.
