Mmm. Gelato. So much better than regular ice cream. This particular Gelato was eaten on the Isle of Capri. I’m still in Italy, will be until Friday, when we fly home to Michigan. I don’t get back to my home, Pittsburgh, until Monday.
Europe has been Fabulous. A feast for the eyes, if you will, it’s all gone so fast I haven’t even digested it all yet. We finally got off the cruise ship yesterday, in Venice (Oh Venice!) and are today in Verona.
There are a ton of photos between my camera and my sisters. More to report when I get home, or at least on US soil. Today I finally have a great connection, and can catch up a little on bloglines. (So many posts!) In doing so, I realize I only have Knitters ADD as a side effect from blog reading. I haven’t knit too much in the last 3 weeks, and now I really want to go find my sock in progress and start about 12 more.
Yum! Sounds like you are having a blast.
Oh man that gelato looks *incredible*. Keep enjoying Europe, and then come and tell us all about it!
Sounds like you are having a great time! I love gelato too and am soooo jealous as you are getting it straight from Italy.
Pistacchio’s my favorite, too! I studied abroad in Italy and couldn’t find a flavor that beat it. I miss gelato, although there’re some pretty good incarnations available in the States (try Food Source, if you have one nearby).
Evil! Evil I tell you! Just watched a documentary on traditional gelato and have been craving ever since. More fuel to the fire. Hope you enjoy enough to fill your soul. 🙂
Oh, drool!
You stopped to take a picture of gelato in the middle of eating it?? Blog dedication.
Pistacchio is my favourite gelato too! 🙂
Hmm, good point about how blog reading feeds the urge to knit/start so many things…
Gelato is my favorite hot weather food and pistacchio gelato is just heavenly.
mmmmm, looks yummy!
Aw, thanks for the good memories of gelato and Venice in August! More pictures please!
Yum………pistacchio has long been my favorite icecream. Brings me right back to my childhood days….ummmm!
mmmm… me too! we just returned from italy and i swear half of what people fall in love with when they fall in love with italy is pistachio gelato.
My husband and I studied abroad in Italy a couple of years ago (yikes! three years ago, now!)before we were married and still in school and as there was a gelato stand on every corner, we really got acquainted with the fabulous treat Pistachio gelato was my absolute fav as well. I still crave it. I pretend that spumoni ice cream satisfies, but it doesn’t.
