Okay, Here’s Something

Hi there. I’m back. I’ve been back, and I’ve run the gamut from jet lagged, tired, cranky, unmotivated, and just plain lazy. It took awhile, but now I feel more like myself. Like a new self, even. The trip was fabulous, and I have a million photos to share, but (see above) I haven’t readied any of them for uploading yet. Eventually there will be a flickr gallery of it all. Probably.

I’m just so happy to be home.

Waiting for me at the Post Office was a package containing my fabulous Sockapalooza socks, from my very cool pal, Yan Tan Tethera. Everybody take a moment to go say hullo. Okay. Now socks.

Aren’t they pretty? They fit me perfectly, I’ll get a photo eventually.
She designed them for me too, how very cool is that? I love that she used a variegated yarn for the the CC.

The whole first week I was back I kind of only did the bare minimum of things I had to do. Jet Lag kicked my ass, and I slept a lot. I also knit like crazy. It felt good to be home and not obligate myself to work here, to just take the time I needed and get my head back on. It took an Ice Road Tuckers marathon, and a whole Sunday on the couch with my knitting to finally motivate me.

I’ve already finished this pair, but here’s a sock in progress with cat for you anywho.

I promise not to abandon the blog for so very long ever again. *Smooch.*

PS- I’ve updated the shop today too!

Pistacchio is my Favorite Gelato

Mmm. Gelato. So much better than regular ice cream. This particular Gelato was eaten on the Isle of Capri. I’m still in Italy, will be until Friday, when we fly home to Michigan. I don’t get back to my home, Pittsburgh, until Monday.

Europe has been Fabulous. A feast for the eyes, if you will, it’s all gone so fast I haven’t even digested it all yet. We finally got off the cruise ship yesterday, in Venice (Oh Venice!) and are today in Verona.

There are a ton of photos between my camera and my sisters. More to report when I get home, or at least on US soil. Today I finally have a great connection, and can catch up a little on bloglines. (So many posts!) In doing so, I realize I only have Knitters ADD as a side effect from blog reading. I haven’t knit too much in the last 3 weeks, and now I really want to go find my sock in progress and start about 12 more.
